Art has always been a big part of who I am, so finding my way into tattooing felt less like a decision and more like something that was just meant to happen. I graduated my apprenticeship in Hammond, Indiana at 19, and over the last 5 years I have slowly but surely grown into the artist I always hoped I could be, working with some really wonderful clients across Northwest Indiana and the Valparaiso area.
Watercolor, realism, and abstract are the styles I find myself drawn to most, but honestly my favorite style is whatever you are passionate about bringing to life. There is something really special about sitting across from someone and hearing about an idea they have been carrying around for a while. Getting to be the person who finally puts it on them is something I do not take for granted.
I want everyone who sits in my chair at Treehouse Custom Tattoo to feel comfortable and genuinely cared for. I know walking into a tattoo shop can feel a little intimidating, especially if it is your first time, and I always want to make sure that feeling goes away the moment we start talking. There is no pressure here, no judgment, just two people figuring out how to make something you are going to love.
When I am not in the shop you will probably find me outside somewhere, noticing the little things most people do not slow down enough to see. I have always loved that about nature, and I think it quietly shows up in my work. I put a lot of care into every piece, no matter how big or small, because I know it means something to the person wearing it.
